Dental implants are a revolutionary method to replace missing teeth. From subtituting just the one tooth to replacing all missing teeth with the help of implants,
they give us many options.
Dental implants are made of pure titanium. This material and the shape of the surface of the implanted root provides a sound connection with the jawbone.
There are many implant systems in use all over the world. In our surgery we work with the following:

Our dentists have been implanting artificial roots for the past twenty years.
This period of experience and the thorough examination of the patient and the state-of-the-art X-ray procedures all provide enough information to help choose the best possible implant system for each patient.
Now let's see an individual case:
In the first picture we can see the bottom region of the lower jaw. The patient's teeth were moving so badly that they had to be extracted 6 months before. As can be seen, the place of the extracted teeth have healed completely. In this case only small incisions in the gum had to be made , just enough to enable the placement of the implant, leading to only minimal bleeding.
|
After the implants were positioned an X-ray was taken.
|
The following picture was taken just before the implants were adjusted into place.
|
After this, the implants were covered with temporary caps to protect the artificial roots while the healing process was taking place. Of course, this made the patient look presentable during this time.
As soon as the healing finished the permanent porcelain crowns were put in place. |
Here we cannot go into the detailed description of every available implant system, as these vary in each indiviual case.
Even if the same number of teeth are missing, every patient has a different jawbone shape and bonestructure meaning the qualilty of the existing bone, and depending on these factors the solution to the individual problem can be various.
The first step in every case is the consultation at the surgery, after which we can give a detailed treatment plan and answer any arising question. |
